Kaiser Permanente Medical Facility

HOLLYWOOD, CA

The Kaiser Permanente Hospital renovation project consists of the demolition of an existing medical building, a new 500,000-square-foot medical office building, and installation of various utilities, video, cable and air systems. As a first tier sub-consultant, TEC is responsible for the pre-construction services, site investigation, and development of a value engineering life cycle cost program for the design team. In addition, TEC is involved in make-ready projects such as demolition of parking structures and buildings, and coordination of tenant relocation. Construction phase activities include construction of a medical office building, and the ancillary facilities. The construction effort also includes maintaining hospital operations simultaneously during the construction phase of the project. Design and construction is estimated to last six years.
