LAWA assigned TEC the task of completing a six-week review of the design plan for a 165-foot extension of an existing tunnel under an existing runway at LAX. The design encompassed a new bridge, a new lighting system, and a new ventilation system for the tunnel.
The renovation enabled the new taxiway to accommodate large passenger airplanes, such as the Airbus A380. After the plan review, TEC was responsible for construction management assistance, project controls, and document controls.
